The upcoming special session of the Tech Council

“Cybersecurity Perspectives from Slovenia and the UK”

will be hosted by the British-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Alma Mater Europaea University’s Applied AI and Digital Technology programs. 

The session will feature Mr Daniel Garnham, a leading UK cybersecurity expert, and Mr Ivan Pridigar, District State Prosecutor of Slovenia. They will share their perspectives on the latest cybersecurity trends and present practical experiences from both countries, drawing lessons from challenges at the state level. Particular attention will be given to the growing role of AI in this field.

About the speakers 

Mr Daniel Garnham is a distinguished cybersecurity and cybercrime expert, recognised among the UK’s Top 25 Cybersecurity Leaders. A visiting expert at Alma Mater Europaea University and founding member of the Global Online Harm Alliance, he has trained organisations such as Interpol, the United Nations, and the Council of Europe. With experience supporting law enforcement worldwide and advising companies on ISO 27001 standards, Daniel brings unique global insights into today’s digital security challenges. 

Mr Ivan Pridigar, MSc is a District State Prosecutor at the Specialised State Prosecutor’s Office of Slovenia and associate of Eurojust. Mr Pridigar is at the forefront of prosecuting the most complex cybercrime cases in Slovenia and across Europe. At the event, he will share first-hand insights from his work in digital criminal law and highlight the key challenges of international and inter-institutional cooperation in the fight against cybercrime.
