On 6 February, we welcomed our new members and celebrated their membership at our brand-new offices in central Ljubljana.

Every year around Burns' birthday on 25 January, Scots around the world celebrate Burns Night with a Burns Supper. This usually involves reciting Burns' poetry, singing his songs and eating the traditional Scottish dish haggis. That is why, together with our new members, we paid tribute to the Scottish poet Robert Burns, a contemporary of France Prešeren, while Dr Luka Ličar recited his wonderful poems.

With sommelier Majda Debevc from Borbona catering, we also explored the unique flavours of whisky, learning about its origins, ingredients, and types of Scotch whisky. The highlight was, of course, a tasting session.
