Conference: Accelerating the Green Transition - Opportunities and Financing

When 09:00 - 13:00
Where InterContinental Ljubljana

The British-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce
is organising a Tea with Reason Conference
on Thursday, 16 May 2024, at 9am at InterContinental Ljubljana titled
"Accelerating the Green Transition - Opportunities and Financing".

How can Slovenia transition to a net zero future and what financing mechanisms will facilitate this transition? What will the construction of a second nuclear power plant bring? And how can Slovenia achieve localisation of the supply chain and provide the required skills in this transition?

Drawing from the UK's experience, various funding mechanisms have proven successful, including attracting private local capital, ensuring a stable return on investment, establishing long-term price agreements, and facilitating the development of large-scale renewable energy projects. Simultaneously, the strategic construction of new nuclear power plants in the UK is designed to bolster local businesses, foster economic growth, generate employment opportunities, and enhance global competitiveness.

*Attendance at the event is free of charge, however, you must register in advance using the registration form above. You can cancel your participation free of charge up to 24 hours before the event. If you are unable to attend and you do not inform us of your cancellation within the deadline, we will charge you a no-show fee in the amount of EUR 50 + VAT.

The conference will be held in English, with the exception of the debate of the candidates for the European elections, which will be held in Slovenian and will be interpreted into English.
