We started the year 2025 with a fun get-together, welcoming our newest members to our community.

A special guest in attendance was Dr Luka Ličar, who shared the beauty of Scottish poetry with us by reciting selected works of Robert Burns. As Burns’ birthday approaches, it was a perfect moment to celebrate his enduring legacy and timeless poetry. Burns was a contemporary of Slovenia’s own France Prešeren, drawing an interesting historical parallel between these two literary giants.

Adding a touch of fun to the event, we hosted the Great British Quiz, designed to test how British our new members truly are. From questions about the Royal Family to intriguing British quirks, the quiz was both entertaining and educational, shedding light on fascinating aspects of British culture.
